CADAIR Zeolite Rotor Concentrator for VOC Abatement

High-Efficiency Solution for High-Volume, Low-Concentration VOCs

In industrial air pollution control, treating high-volume, low-concentration volatile organic compounds (VOCs) is one of the most persistent challenges. Conventional technologies often struggle with low efficiency, high energy consumption, and large system footprints.

CADAIR has developed a next-generation zeolite rotor concentrator (VOC concentrator system) designed to significantly improve VOC treatment efficiency while reducing overall operating costs. Backed by over a decade of industry experience, this system delivers reliable and energy-efficient VOC pre-treatment for industries such as chemical processing, electronics manufacturing, coating, and printing.

Key Advantages of CADAIR Zeolite VOC Concentrator

High Zeolite Content for Superior Adsorption Capacity

CADAIR zeolite rotors contain 75–80% hydrophobic zeolite molecular sieve, significantly higher than the typical 50–60% found in conventional systems. This provides more active adsorption sites and delivers higher adsorption capacity per unit volume.

The system demonstrates excellent performance in treating:

  • Aromatic hydrocarbons
  • Polar organic solvents
  • Mixed industrial VOC streams

High Concentration Ratio Reduces Downstream System Size

The CADAIR VOC concentrator achieves a concentration ratio of 5–40x, with up to 50x under optimized conditions.

This allows the downstream system—such as a regenerative thermal oxidizer (RTO), thermal oxidizer (TO), or catalytic oxidizer (CO)—to be reduced to 1/5 to 1/50 of its original size, significantly lowering:

  • Capital investment
  • Energy consumption
  • Operating costs

Low Energy Consumption and Reduced Pressure Drop

The rotor substrate is made from ceramic fiber material with low thermal mass, enabling faster heating and cooling cycles and reduced desorption energy.

  • Pressure drop: 100–700 Pa
  • Significantly lower than conventional systems (500–1200 Pa)

This results in reduced fan power consumption and improved overall system efficiency.

Designed for High Air Volume Applications

A single CADAIR zeolite rotor can handle up to 300,000 Nm³/h, making it ideal for:

  • Large-scale manufacturing facilities
  • Automotive coating lines
  • Container and industrial production plants

Fewer units are required, reducing system complexity and footprint.

Modular Design for Easy Maintenance

The system features a modular rotor structure, allowing:

  • Replacement of individual segments instead of the entire rotor
  • Faster maintenance with minimal downtime
  • No need for heavy lifting equipment

This significantly reduces maintenance costs and operational disruption.

Long Service Life for Lower Lifecycle Cost

With high-quality materials and advanced manufacturing processes, CADAIR zeolite rotors offer a service life of over 8 years, exceeding the industry average by approximately 3 years.

This ensures long-term stability and lower total cost of ownership.

Fast Delivery for Project Acceleration

With three production bases and a robust supply chain, CADAIR delivers zeolite concentrator systems within 2–3 months, compared to the industry norm of 6–8 months.

This enables faster project commissioning and quicker return on investment.

K-FILTER Low-Temperature Zeolite Rotor for Difficult VOCs

For challenging VOCs such as:

  • Dichloromethane (DCM)
  • Styrene
  • Diethylene glycol

CADAIR offers the K-FILTER low-temperature zeolite rotor.

Key benefits:

  • Desorption temperature below 130°C
  • Reduced energy consumption
  • Prevents polymerization and carbonization of high-boiling compounds
  • Improved operational safety

Like all CADAIR systems, it features a modular design and fast delivery capability.

Flexible System Integration with VOC Oxidation Technologies

CADAIR zeolite rotor concentrators are designed for seamless integration with downstream VOC treatment systems:

Zeolite Rotor + RTO (Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer)

  • Best for large air volume, low-concentration VOCs
  • Optimal overall operating cost

Zeolite Rotor + TO (Thermal Oxidizer)

  • Ideal for high-boiling and polymer-forming compounds
  • Eliminates clogging risks

Zeolite Rotor + CO (Catalytic Oxidizer)

  • Suitable for low-temperature operation
  • No open flame, enhanced safety

Industry Applications

CADAIR VOC concentrator systems are widely used in:

  • Automotive coating
  • Furniture finishing
  • Electronics manufacturing
  • Printing and packaging
  • Chemical and pharmaceutical industries

The systems have been successfully deployed in projects across Europe and Asia, serving global enterprises and large-scale industrial facilities.
