CADAIR offers high quality direct fired furnace systems (DFTO) that effectively treat high concentrations of hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
Thermal oxidizers (TO), also known as Direct Combustion Thermal Oxidizers, work by combusting pollutants at high temperatures (800–1100 °C) with excess air, ensuring a residence time of 1–2 seconds for complete oxidation.
During this process, VOCs and HAPs are broken down into harmless carbon dioxide (CO₂) and water vapor (H₂O). For gases containing halides such as chlorine, fluorine, or bromine, the system operates at the higher end of the temperature range (~1100 °C), and acid gas scrubbing is required post-combustion to ensure clean discharge.
