CADAIR NMP Waste Gas Treatment & Solvent Recovery Solutions

CADAIR delivers professional treatment and recovery systems specially designed for industrial waste gas containing N-Methylpyrrolidone (NMP). Differing from traditional incineration technology, our solutions adopt physical adsorption solvent recovery routes, featuring high cost-effectiveness and outstanding processing efficiency. With self-developed adsorption and separation technologies, CADAIR enables continuous NMP recycling with remarkable economic returns. Through standardized pretreatment, adsorption, desorption and condensation processes, we help industrial manufacturers cut operational expenditure, recycle valuable NMP solvent and fully meet local environmental regulations.

Proven Project Cases & Flexible Process Combinations

CADAIR owns fully mature NMP recovery projects across multiple industries. A typical reference is the project for Wuhan Guide Infrared Co., Ltd., which targets waste gas with high NMP content and applies the combined process of zeolite rotor and Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO). It is necessary to clarify that the rotor plus RTO system supports two operational modes for diversified demands. The concentration & incineration mode sends concentrated high-concentration waste gas into RTO for thermal oxidation and purification, which is widely used for general exhaust treatment. The concentration & recovery mode diverts concentrated gas to dedicated condensation units instead of incineration, so NMP solvent can be recycled via cooling liquefaction. CADAIR’s full series of zeolite modules (Type A & Type B) and KB modules are perfectly compatible with NMP adsorption treatment for various working conditions.

Core K-FILTER® Adsorption & Recovery System

CADAIR’s flagship KF Recovery Unit adopts proprietaryK-FILTER® activated carbon fiber as the core medium, forming a complete set of standard recovery procedures for NMP waste gas. The whole process starts with pretreatment, where exhaust gas undergoes professional cooling and dust removal to protect follow-up core equipment. When treated gas flows through the KF unit, NMP components are efficiently adsorbed while purified gas is discharged up to standard. Once the K-FILTER® reaches adsorption saturation, two desorption methods are available: steam desorption or hot nitrogen desorption (KF-ND unit). The mixed gas of desorbed NMP and vapor is delivered to condensers for liquefaction, and the liquefied mixture goes into separation devices. Leveraging the water-soluble property of NMP, the system completes static phase separation to extract high-purity recycled NMP solvent. The whole system is engineered for long-cycle stable operation with simple daily maintenance.

Deep Recovery & Stable Emission Compliance

Beyond the core KF recovery units, CADAIR supports optional deep recovery configuration by connecting KB adsorption concentrating rotors in series. The rotor performs secondary adsorption and concentration on trace residual NMP in tail gas, and feeds the concentrated gas back to the KF unit for re-recycling, which further elevates overall recovery rate. This multi-stage treatment system keeps the final NMP concentration of discharged tail gas far below regulatory limits. As an integrated NMP waste gas management solution, CADAIR’s equipment is built for high reliability, low running cost and seamless docking with existing production lines, creating maximum economic and environmental benefits for enterprises.
