Introduction: Solving the High-Volume Air Challenge
For industries like semiconductor manufacturing, spray painting, and printing, the biggest challenge in air pollution control is handling massive air volumes with low VOC concentrations. Treating this air directly with a thermal oxidizer is inefficient and prohibitively expensive.
The solution is the Zeolite rotor concentrator. At Cadair, we provide high-performance Zeolite Concentration Rotor(CR) systems that act as a “filter” to concentrate pollutants, making treatment affordable and compliant.
1. How the Zeolite Rotor Concentrator Works
A Zeolite rotor concentrator uses a rotating wheel coated with hydrophobic zeolite to adsorb VOCs continuously.
- Adsorption: The large, dilute airstream passes through the rotor, where VOCs are trapped in the zeolite honeycomb.
- Desorption: A small stream of hot air (desorption air) passes through a isolated section of the wheel.
- Concentration: This releases the VOCs into a stream that is 10 to 20 times smaller in volume but much higher in concentration.
By reducing the airflow volume, you can install a much smaller downstream oxidizer.
2. Perfect Integration with RTO and CO
A concentrator is not a standalone destruction device; it pairs with an oxidizer. Cadair specializes in integrated systems:
- Rotor + RTO: The concentrated gas is sent to a RTO. Because the concentration is high, the RTO can often run in “self-sustaining” mode, requiring zero or minimal natural gas.
- Rotor + CO: For specific solvents, pairing with a CO (Catalytic Oxidizer) offers even lower oxidation temperatures.
3. Ideal Industries for Rotor Technology
If your facility has an exhaust volume greater than 10,000 CFM but VOC concentrations below 500 ppm, a Zeolite rotor concentrator is essential.
- Automotive & Coating: Handling spray booth exhaust efficiently.Solution: Automobile & Parts Manufacturing
- Printing & Packaging: Managing large volumes of solvent-laden air.Solution: Packaging Printing / Coating
- Semiconductors: Treating low-concentration emissions from cleanrooms.Solution: Semiconductor / LED / Display / Photovoltaic / PCB
Conclusion: Calculate Your ROI
Implementing a Zeolite rotor concentrator significantly lowers your Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Don’t waste money heating clean air.
